Orange, CA – Westinghouse Digital, one of the leading LCD TV manufacturers in the U.S, has introduced the latest member of its exceptional new lineup of LED HDTVs. The new 46” LD-4655 combines sleek, super-slim design and industry-leading energy efficiency with advanced LED picture technologies. This full HD, 1080p 120 Hz refresh rate LCD TV with audio by Yamaha, lets viewers get the most out of today's highest definition video sources, such as Blu-ray and 1080p satellite broadcasts. With this new model, Westinghouse is bringing high-end technology, styling and features into a new realm of accessibility, at a value-driven MSRP of $899.
Rey Roque, Vice President of Marketing says, “Our new LD-4655 hits a perfect sweet spot for home theater lovers. Its low profile lets it stand or mount seamlessly in any sized room, but at the same time, its generous 46” screen gives consumers the big picture feel that's so vital to a true home theater experience. It’s very exciting for us to be able to offer this kind of styling and performance at such an accessible price point."
Westinghouse's new LD-4655 features numerous design and technology trends that have been driving the market for upscale HDTV, and offers them to fit real world budgets for the broad consumer market. The unit features a super thin form factor with a maximum thickness of 1.7" for the screen, and just over 2 inches for its sleek, high-gloss black bezel. At just 38 lbs, the LD-4655 is thin and light enough to stand or mount just about anywhere, and includes an attractive base for instant enjoyment.
Once the TV is turned on, the real beauty begins. This full 1080p set is outfitted with the latest edge-lit LED technology that provides an impressively bright picture, rich colors, excellent gradations, 120 Hz refresh rate and a super fast 6.5 ms response time results in theater-worthy video that can keep up with all of today's media. Audio chip and tuning by Yamaha creates a rich audio experience by equalizing sound from the thin flat panel cabinet which dramatically improves low frequency response, enhances dialogue clarity and provides 3D surround sound. Options like 3D noise reduction, inverse 3:2 pulldown for film-based content and three-way selectable color temperature spearhead a rich feature set that belies this model's budget-friendly pricing.
Continuing with Westinghouse Digital’s tradition of industry-leading energy efficiency for its TVs, the new LD-4655 is also extremely eco-friendly. The 46” LD-4655 has earned the Energy Star and meets Federal energy efficiency standards. The LD-4655 only consumes about 80 watts of power and only 1 watt in standby mode. Even the packaging is eco-efficient, with the product box made of recycled and recyclable materials, as well as soy based inks.
Westinghouse Digital’s new LED lineup combines the styling of the highest-end HDTVs with the dramatic performance benefits of advanced LED picture technology, all at values that are comparable to conventional LCD TV price points.
The LD-4655 will be available at retail in January, 2011, with an estimated street price of $899.
