Detroit, the TITAN XD’s High-Performance Speaker Count Increases to

12 with Additional System-Wide Audio Electronics and Software Upgrades

TEMPE, Ariz. – Jan. 28, 2015 – Rockford Fosgate (www.rockfordfosgate.com), the industry leader in high-performance audio systems, today announced that it will supply audio system components to Nissan for the next-generation TITAN XD pickup, which was unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The 2016 TITAN XD will feature premium Rockford Fosgate speakers and increased system-wide audio electronics and software upgrades in selected models. Nissan has offered vehicles equipped with Rockford Fosgate premium sound systems since 1999.

“The next generation TITAN XD’s Rockford Fosgate audio system features 12 speakers, including dedicated tweeters to improve front imaging,” explained Dan Vandenbergh, Rockford Corporation Managing Director OEM. “The larger center channel speaker has been designed for more realistic rendering of vocals in their natural position on the soundstage, as well. We’ve also relocated and reconfigured the 8-inch subwoofer with higher efficiency, lower distortion, and more excursion for tighter, deeper bass with more of the PUNCH that gives music its energy.”

                                                                                                                                              Additional tuning capability in the amplifier’s software provides greater control over the system’s dynamics, distortion, and frequency response. “Our amplifier package for the TITAN XD continues to outperform competitors’ amplifiers with our dedicated discrete MOSFET subwoofer channel. This technology has been made famous by Rockford Fosgate during our more than 30 years as an aftermarket leader of high-performance audio systems, accurately bringing the dimensions of a live performance to the vehicle cockpit,” added Vandenbergh.

Nissan had three next generation TITAN XD trucks on display during NAIAS, all of which are equipped with Rockford Fosgate premium sound systems. Model year 2015 Nissan vehicles equipped with RF sound systems include JUKE, Frontier, Xterra, and current-generation Titan King Cab and Crew Cab.
