TURTLE BEACH’S REVOLUTIONARY NEW SOUND SYSTEM – HYPERSOUND CLEAR – HAS SECURED CERTIFICATION TO LAUNCH IN EUROPE

TURTLE BEACH’S REVOLUTIONARY NEW SOUND SYSTEM – HYPERSOUND CLEAR – HAS SECURED CERTIFICATION TO LAUNCH IN EUROPE

San Diego, CA – February 25, 2016 – People across Europe looking to hear the television better will soon be able to have a significantly improved home entertainment experience as Turtle Beach’s revolutionary new sound system, HyperSound Clear™, has received the necessary regulatory certifications to launch in Europe. HyperSound Clear is designed to help people hear and understand the television more clearly, allowing them to once again enjoy watching their favorite shows, listen to music and play video games while hearing crisp, clear audio. With the new certifications in place, Turtle Beach will begin sending shipments of HyperSound Clear to the Company’s distribution partners in the UK, France, Germany and Benelux countries.HyperSound Clear was created by Turtle Beach Corporation (NASDAQ: HEAR), a leading audio technology company for over 40 years.

HyperSound Clear is one of the most innovative audio products to come along in decades, so we’re very excited about our first international extension following our U.S. launch a few months ago, and to offer it in the UK and select European territories,” said Rodney Schutt, SVP and General Manager for the HyperSound business at Turtle Beach. “This is a key certification milestone for us given the large size of the European market and the access it gives to the millions of people interested in having a better television and home entertainment listening experience, in a way that only HyperSound Clear can deliver.”

HyperSound® technology is a fundamentally new approach to sound delivery that generates a directional, narrow beam of audio in the air. Similar to how a flashlight directs a beam of light, HyperSound Clear directs a beam of audio to targeted listeners that has been shown to significantly improve sound clarity and speech intelligibility in individuals with hearing loss1.HyperSound Clear works in parallel with the audio from the television or home theater system, so a person sitting in the HyperSound beam can independently control the device’s volume and experience immersive 3D audio, while everyone else in the room hears audio from the television speakers or home theater system at a normal volume level. This means that people having trouble hearing the TV, along with family members and friends, can once again return to the family room to enjoy the latest home entertainment together.

Consumers in the UK, France and Germany interested in purchasing HyperSound Clear should speak with their local hearing healthcare providers, who can contact the HyperSound EU team for direct sales and support via email int@hypersoundhearing.com. Across the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, consumers can contact Battery Benelux BV – a Dutch wholesaler for hearing healthcare products and Turtle Beach’s HyperSound distribution partner for the territories, at +31 (0) 88 530 6000 and at info@batterybenelux.nl.
